The Italian brand Montestella takes a different approach to eyewear design, placing emphasis on technology and construction. Following more than two years of research and development, in collaboration with designer Tommaso Bossetti and Italian manufacturer Franco Sordelli, the brand has developed a patented hinge mechanism that combines precision, stability and flexibility.

Equally important is the choice of materials, including bio-based carbon fibre, bioceramics, medical-grade stainless steel and beta titanium. These materials are also used in demanding fields such as aerospace and biomedical engineering.

Guided by a philosophy that prioritises quality over mass production, Montestella manufactures all its frames in Italy in small batches. The debut collection features six optical frame models, divided into two distinct design approaches: the more expressive Presence and the clean, minimalist Essence.
