The Panhellenic Association of Opticians – Optometrists (P.S.O.O.), a Legal Entity of Public Law (L.E.P.L.), established under Law 4486/17 (Articles 76 et seq., Government Gazette A’ 115/2017) and operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Health, is the highest professional and scientific representative body for Opticians – Optometrists in Greece.
Registration with PSOO–LEPL is mandatory for all those practicing the profession of Optician – Optometrist. Its primary purpose is to safeguard Public Health by ensuring the provision of high-quality vision care services, to promote and advance Optics – Optometry as an independent and autonomous scientific field, and to protect the profession in accordance with current legislation.
At the same time, P.S.O.O. is committed to defending, preserving, and advancing the economic, social, and professional interests of its members, securing the recognition and institutional reinforcement of the profession, and supporting the continuous scientific education of Opticians – Optometrists.
